How Actors are built and tested
- Recorded pages: every field is tested against saved copies of real pages before a build.
- Platform test: each build runs on the Apify platform first, and the run must return valid records at the expected cost per result.
- Live data quality: before publishing, the Actor must return its key fields from real public pages.
- After release: the new version is verified again and rolls back automatically if a check fails. Regular canary runs catch sites that change.
Data policy
- Public pages only. The Actors don’t log in and don’t bypass paywalls, CAPTCHAs or other protections.
- robots.txt and crawl-delay are honoured on every request.
- No personal data: the Actors don’t extract information about people, such as profiles, personal emails or personal phone numbers. Company details (a business’s address, main phone or general email) are returned only when the company publishes them in its own website’s structured data.
- You are responsible for how you use the data under each site’s terms and the law (for example copyright and GDPR).
